"Flyleaf Theater Company is doing smart and rarely-done work in talented company in Berlin, Massachusetts. If you like to do theatre brimming with possibilities and if you like to see productions that are not typically performed in the Greater Boston area, then you should take the journey to see Flyleaf Theater Company. The emphasis is on the cast and the stories without the distractions of fancy technical details or designs. The beauty is how well they can assemble these casts and tell these stories. They will keep you laughing and smiling, singing and crying, as they remind us of how we only need to open our eyes to life’s possibilities and the beautiful people around us." - Brian Balduzzi, ArtsImpulse
The Flyleaf Theater Company is a versatile ensemble striving to challenge the status quo of community theatre by providing innovative performance and educational opportunities. Through passion and collaboration, we seek to create productions that attract actors, production staff, and audiences desiring a venue for traditional and non-traditional theatre.
In an effort to provide diverse, high-quality theatrical productions, the Flyleaf Theater Company looks to collaborate with the thinking community. For a variety of reasons, too many risky and complex works are kept from the public - theatre that inspires the actors, production staffs, and audiences to imagine, analyze, question, and discuss the messages and meanings of the scripts. The Flyleaf Theater Company wants to bring these productions to you, performed by small ensembles that have taken the time and put in the research necessary to deliver nuanced, thought-provoking performances. |

"Impacting the Community through Thoughtful Theater" Campaign
Our productions are selected to provide dramatic experiences through musicals and plays that are rarely presented in the community theatre setting. Such productions often focus around contemporary social issues such as identity, mental health, and society as well as reinterpreting the classics. We balance our seasons to ensure that these performances and discussions engage rather than distance our audiences. Flyleaf runs an Educational Workshop Series, a Concert Series, an Original Works Series, a Mainstage Series, and a Special Events Series - all of which need your help to further fund our mission to bring rarely seen and important productions and educational opportunities to our area. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to support Flyleaf's campaign.
The Flyleaf Theater Company productions take place at the beautiful and historic 1870 Town Hall, 12 Woodward Ave, Berlin, MA. However, as the building is currently under construction, we are performing our next production ("Into the Woods") at the Concord Youth Theatre on Baker Avenue in Concord, MA.
Flyleaf is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
